Today in Pavlodar started scientific and practical seminar of heads of border prosecution offices of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation.

In the event take part: heads of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Chief Military Prosecutor's Office, the main transport prosecutor's office of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the prosecution of cross-border regions of the republic, as well as representatives of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation, the first heads of prosecutor's offices of the Republic of Altai, the Republic of Kalmykia, Altai Region, Astrakhan, Volgograd, Kurgan, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Orenburg, Samara, Saratov, Tyumen and Chelyabinsk regions, the West Siberian, Ural and South transport prosecutor's offices, as well as the complex "Baikonur".

While opening the forum, First Deputy of the General Prosecutor of Kazakhstan and  I. Merkel emphasized that the free movement of goods, services, capital and labor within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union and the implementation of agreed policies in key sectors of the economy confronts two prosecutors of new challenges.

He noted that the cooperation of General Prosecutors of Kazakhstan and Russia, both in multilaterally and bilaterally formats can be greatly enhanced by strengthening the coordinating role of prosecutors and the removal of bureaucratic barriers.

During the two-day seminar is planned to discuss questions of consolidation of efforts and is planned to find joint solutions in the fight against transnational organized crime, illegal migration, drug trafficking, religious extremism and terrorism, cyber crime, legalization of proceeds of crime and offenses in the area of ​​natural resources.

Also, special attention will be given to participants of the forum on the need for direct contacts between regional prosecutors in neighboring countries in the provision of legal assistance in criminal matters.
